Back to the Future

It is 2021, Trump is gone, and the UK has left the EU.

The Covid-19 health pandemic is still hampering our life in 2021. Though its impact and deadly consequences vary with respect to social categories such as ethnicity, race and class, not even speaking of gender, dis/ ability, sex and sexuality, the world is connected in new ways: 'normal' life of consumption and urban enjoyment has stopped, and increasingly people are fleeing culturally deserted big cities to alter their everyday space.

National programmes to vaccinate different populations give a glimpse of hope we shall overcome this state of social isolation. The global pandemic changed life drastically in March 2020, March 2021 - one year one - feels gloomy.
